Channel Insurance Brokers Limited, was formed in May 1980 to take over the business previously administered by Vincent Ewart Flint & Co Limited, which itself had been established in 1974. Since then the Company has been providing its broking services and successfully arranging insurance on behalf of its clients.

In October 1991, a management buy-out by the working Directors of Channel Insurance Brokers Limited took place with our current Managing Director, Mr. Barrie Thomson being one of those Directors.

January 2007 saw further developments of the company, with the addition of Alex Lindsay and Bob Marquis to the Board. Both have over 25 years experience in the industry, with Alex starting with Commercial Union in 1975 and Bob commencing with United Friendly in 1979.

Both Barrie Thomson and Alex Lindsay are fellows of the Insurance Institute (FCII), the highest academic qualification achievable in the Insurance Industry and with the overall experience of the staff at Channel Insurance Brokers Limited, it is fair to say that the team is amongst the most qualified and experienced in Guernsey.
